Black Sheep

Casting shadows
Shading truths
Grand deception mother's muse
Incestual upbring
Consentual cover
Fearing grandpa's hateful power
Self worth being non existent
Trust she'd earn if she would listen
"As I say, not As I do"
"Nobody will believe you"
Flat denial
eye to eye
Sent away to cover lies
Control so strong
She couldn't see
That he could do the same to me
Or could she?

Passing on her legacy
Never having trust in me
Said I had to earn her love
Was never ever good enough
Ripped away my self esteem
Never listened to my screams
Cast me out to hide the shame
Concealed within the family name
I wonder if she's sorry now
Or if she even cares, somehow
I doubt it.
