Athena Survivor's Anthology
Welcome to Athena Survivors Anthology. This Web anthology is collected from writers who have survived some form of abuse, be it physical, sexual, or emotional. They have come through the flames stronger. Athena is the Goddess of wisdom, useful arts, justice and prudent warfare, thus a fitting patroness for this site.
Goals of This Site:
- To help survivors of abuse realize they are not alone in their experiences.
- To help survivors of abuse realize healing is possible.
- To share our creativity with others, for greater understanding of issues.
Special Note to text only visitors: I have created this text only page because my main page uses graphical links that could be confusing to those using voice screen readers. The remainder of the site is primarily driven by text based links, including the anthology index, which is all in the form of a list. If you wish to come back to this text only main page, use the back button on your browser, rather than the "back to main page" links at the bottom of each page, for they will take you back to the regular main page. If you are using a screen reader, you may wish to avoid the "rings of healing" section, and the "awards received" section, as they both, by necessity, rely on graphics. To web masters who are interested in ways to make your own site more accessible to people with disabilities, check out the Unified Web Site Accessiblity Guidelines.
I am willing to help anyone I can to have access to this site. If you experience problems, don't hesitate to email me.
