Heresy

Believed in faith,
believed in fair,
believed in a God
that was never there.
I thought,
I dreamed,
I fell,
I screamed.
But through it all
I held on to you.
The only truth I believed in
that was never true.
Believed in a lie
created with sin,
believed in a nightmare
that would never end.
And now you're in my head
I hear you call my name.
I wish I could reach out,
i wish it would be the same.
And you were the lie
that I always believed.
You were the "once"
in the truth I conceived.
And now I'm surrounded
by the shroud of the dead.
And it's always your face
that screams in my head.
