Panda
gender: female
race: Sprit Folk
class: samurai
Panda grew up in the home of a samurai, Ishenro along with his wife, Matsu. She was the only daughter of them. Children teased her when she was little that she wasn't really their daughter but a child left on the doorstep by evil spirits. Even then Panda refused to cry for the teasing of her schoolmates. She spent life alone. Alone with her animal friends in the great bamboo forest that taught her things that nobody else knew. Panda found she had talents that went beyond. She spoke to animals sometimes and they would answer. Ishrenro taught her the sword from the beginning and the life of a samurai. At 15, it ended when Emperor Nobunga destroyed her town and village and everyone that he could find. Her father and mother were burned in their own cabin. Panda escaped and lived life in the forest for a few months but it was hard for her. A ranger named Drosro found her and brought her to Akechi, a warlord that he scouted for. Akechi took her in and continued her training in the code of the Bushido. Akechi started a campaign against Nobunga and Panda though young fought some in wars that followed. Along the way, she met some friends, Reiko a strange girl with spirits that followed her around. Akechi's soothsayer, a hengeyoki, a human with some strange gifts, a monk, a ninja. Two weeks ago, after the death of Nobunga, a griffon was brought in. Reiko kept saying that it wanted to talk to Akechi, but Panda knew that griffons were hard to trust but maybe. Akechi took it as a good omen, but Panda wondered about that. General Hideyoshi didn't like it but that maybe was a very good omen. She always wondered about that General. His motives never seemed exactly clear and he had been getting stranger over the last couple of weeks.
June 2nd, 1583 Today, Akechi took his place as Emperor. Today was a good day but why did she feel this dread coming and why did her arm hurt so much for that past week or so. She rubbed it idly as she dressed in her best armor.
